There's a lot going on on tonight's American Idol.
The kids get dragged to a celebration of the royal wedding at the British consulate, the kids get dragged through another terrible Ford commercial, the kids get dragged through some viewer questions.
Last year's runner-up Crystal Bowersox performs her new song, and it's fun and bluesy and reminds me how much I liked her.
Time for some results: Ryan calls Haley Reinhart to the stage. She's safe. Scotty McCreery comes forward, but has to wait. Supposedly, Ryan is calling them forward in random order. Lauren Alaina comes forward but has to wait, too. Casey Abrams has to wait, too. This is a really annoying way to do the results. James Durbin actually gets to find out that he's safe. Jacob Lusk hears his critique but has to stay on the stage while the other three come onto the stage too. Then BOOM, Lauren is safe, so it's Jacob, Casey and Scotty in the bottom three? Intriguing.
Bruno Mars performs a song that I hate, and I'm behind and need to fast-forward anyway, so I totally do.
After that Jacob learns he's safe, so Casey and Scotty are left. Casey is out, and Scotty remains.
Poor Casey. He's been fun, but I didn't think he was going to win this thing, so I'm not shocked. However, I think he's proven his talent, and he's going to be just fine.
What do you think?
